AM I FOOLISH or PLAIN SILLY?

certain things wont change even if i sent that email to you. i have been asking myself lately should i even send that email to you in the first place but somehow, the horoscope was right, i did send it in the end. and somehow, i told myself, i really needed a closure before i fly to london. i needed to have some time to heal my open wounds, and i needed time to clear my mind. so i went ahead with my decision. what i didnt really expect from you was such a quick reply not to my email but an sms.

should i even be glad that at least u showed some response? but then again, things were still left hanging there.

first this happened to my hk fren i shall not name, then it happened to so many others around me.. and now, my turn... really... are we girls asking for too much? i would be really glad even if u emailed me a reply with "..." only. cos u said u would reply. i expected a reply... and now, perhaps u are running away frm this issue. so i really cant do anything but wait. and really is torturing me. but then again, i have to give u some time right?

HAPPY BDAY MUMMY!!!

seriously i cant find another mummy as great as mine... just wanna wish her with GOOD HEALTH AND HAPPINESS FOREVER! plus safety of cos!

well.. on a sad note, my god-ma who works in the tpy HDB hub canteen has gone back to CHINA without telling me!!! im really sad... she's like... the nicest mixed rice stall auntie ive ever met! even gave me ang bao of 10dollars when she's alr earning so little. haix.. and i still bought pressies for her from Beijing.. but too bad i cant give to her cos she flew back to hunan alr and wont be back in sg to work anymore i guess. HOW SAD... everytime when i visit her stall to makan lunch, she would give me an extra piece of fried chicken or curry potato for free. and she will be beaming from ear to ear when she sees me! altho ask me the same ques everyday "where is mummy" or "today taking away or eating here"... she was really what i looked forward to during lunch break at home! now... without her.. going back to the stall only makes me sad.. maybe i would frequent it less.. sigh.

just hope she is doing great and living well in HUNAN now... and so happens that HUNAN... is... where the dance competition is held... if i know her add.. i think i would fly there for her and to support nancy too. sigh.. nvm. no fate.

BACK FROM BEIJING & XI-AN!

16apr
had to pull myself off the bed to catch my flight at 840am so kinda rushed our way to the airport and went to the SIA FIRST CLASS LOUNGE for breakfast since daddy has the STAR ALLIANCE GOLD CARD so everything in the lounge was free. LOl. ate hotcakes, fried beehoon, toast bread etc...sooo much until i felt so sleepy! really.. its an incentive to get the gold card cos first, when u check in, u get priority which prevents aching legs esp in CHINA.. where the queue for check-in is especially LONG.. and... waiting time.. is... CRAZY!! Even if u fly in economy class, u get to use the First class lounge(which has everything and anything u want, ranging from glass of mocha ice blended to a shower in the toilet) and u get to go into the plane first, so u need not sit at the waiting area until u fall alseep. LOL. im so gonna get the gold card next time when im working!!!! it rocks!

anw. back to the point, the flight was quite bumpy... but i was watching national treasure(the 2nd movie) so it didnt really startle me! haha.. then reached the SWISSOTEL at about 5pm after waiting 3omins to get my passport chopped! how nice. i really wonder how are they gg to cope with the OLYPMPICS if they continue to be so inefficient and SLOW. zzz. good luck to those gg there for OLYPMICS man. and somehow i got a feeling there'll be throngs of complains after they host the event. oh well.. just watch and see...

so by time we settled down, it was approx dinner time and we had steamboat across the road at some hk restaurant! haha.. they have this really tasty peanut sauce which is yummilicious! after our dinner, we went to WANGFUJING shopping street to see what's in stores to get but we didnt get to see much cos all the shops were closing! the shops close super early at 9plus like sg! walked down to this street that sells WEIRD FOOD ON BBQ STICKS.. like grasshoppers, mystery meat kebab(maybe human meat too...who knows!) and one stall which caught my eye was... called..撒尿鱼丸.. faints... gross!!!! but other than that... nightlife is boring. haha.. so yeah, just went back to hotel to catch some movies aired on HBO channel!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESSICA! haha... im so glad to be the first to wish her!! WHOOT! today was much more exciting than yesterday cos i scaled the GREAT WALL OF CHINA at MUTIANYU! usually tourists would visit the BADALING one.. but MUTIANYU is more challenging so we decided to go there and climb walls!

haha we booked this cab for one day and it cost us 700yuan which we so got cheated cos we heard other that usually its only 5ooyuan max max! oh my tian.. felt so cheated! but nvm.. at least the driver was nice and fun! so we took a CHAIRLIFT up to one place and started climbing the great wall! waaa.. climg until my two legs felt jelly-fied when i came down and we just crossed not even 1/10 of the great wall but we were panting cos the slopes and downhills were really steep!!! then the fun part was this!! when we came down, instead of taking a chairlift we took a TOBOGAN!!! its damn fun!!! its just this single seater thing on a long slide where u can control the speed and slide down to the bottom of the hill!!! super exciting!!! u can break or accelerate using the handle anytime! whoo!

there after we were super tired but the taxi man drove us to the MING 13TOMBS to view basically pagoda structures housing a memorial. view from on top of the pagoda was good! vibratingly refreshing cool air and nice view! then we walked underground (about 10floors) to view the interior of the tomb... which was SOOO HUGE as compared to EGYPT's pyramid's... and veryyy chillyyy too! then the taxi man took us around to look at a famous temple where the taoists in their village pray, we didnt go down to see cos we were really exhausted! and then final stop was the OLYMPIC STADIUM called NIAO CHAO(bird's nest in chinese) hahaha wow! its really super cool!!! soo big and majestic!!! then finally after passing GUI JIEwhich sells all kinds of food 24-7 , we stopped at GIZA PLAZA for dinner at this yunnan restaurant.

18apr (XI-AN)
took a morning flight to Xi-an and the air in Xi-an was sooo much better and cleaner at least! weather was just right so a light jacket would suffice. First we checked into the MOST MAJESTIC AND BEAUTIFUL PRINCESS LIKE HOTEL called SOFITEL. gosh!!! the lady was nice to upgrade our room for free to a PRESIDENTIAL SUITE which was freaking i-dunno-what!!! never before my hotel room was sooo POSH!! even better than langham!!! i can faint! suddenly i felt like a princess.. or rather.. i felt like i lived in a palace. hahaha!! and basically, the room is just like half a football field with a dining and a separate study. gosh! and daddy said this hotel is like only 5stars.... which i hate to believe. cos i think the room deserves 6stars. haha.. but yeap after camwhoring in the room our family set off for the 鼓楼 area which houses the HUI TRIBE community but its so much more commercialised than i thought.

the drizzle kinda made it difficult for us to comb the place thoroughly but nonetheless we walked almost 90% of the place which sells really UNIQUE stuff!! like chestnut in chilli and pepper powder and they really eat loads of meat... cos they're muslims so they mostly sell mutton and beef kebabs and bbq stuff which smells nice but we didnt try in case... its.. contaminated since they just leave the food uncovered on the streets!!! @.@ hahaha. but yeah mum found her walnut in one huge pack!!! and some fresh almond nuts with unknown edible seeds.. u see.. she's really going back to her herbivore nature. she eats... BRANCHES and leaves... and seeds. faints.. anw.. we went to this touristy place for XIAO LONG BAO! hahaha BAD BAD BAD SERVICE. seriously. u call the waitress, she'll just stare at u and walk away. wth! food was below average too so i told myself im never ever gg to recommend this place to anyone. sucks! worst dinner ever in my LIFE!

then we walked out of the hui tribe place and cos the place was near to city central with loads of shopping malls, we explored the area and walked to KAIYUAN shopping centre! which i must say is 10times the size of taka! and i tell u.. each shopping centre u go into doesnt house repetitive brandnames like BOSSINI, HANGTEN blahs.. they are like VARIED?!? so u kinda get a diff experience when u get into diff malls! haha.. visited NU REN JIE (ladies street) after that and i bought 2 dresses and MY PAIR OF SILVER SHOES!!!! (jx knows why i wanted that man) but of cos diff brand from my darling la. haha...

TERRA COTTA here i come! hahaha ive been waiting my entire life to see these man. really love chinese history cos of the QIN empire.. i really think QIN SHI HUANG is my idol... (double meaning.. wakakka cos of ASITP too) the soldiers in rock were like... woahhhh! sooo sooo unbelievable! and after watching a video on the story... everything just falls into place and imagination starts running wild! really super nice place to visit but a pity it was raining! the entire place has so many chambers but the chinese authorities only dug and opened up 5 to public. the main tomb where Qin lies is sealed still cos they're afraid that public viewing might spoil artefacts.. wasted. ended up we could only stand on top of the hill where his tomb lies! so we climbed up this hill carrying umbrellas cos the rain was like HEAVY!!! hilarious sight.

thereafter we went to visit this SUMMER PALACE where tang taizhong erected for holidaying withe yang guifei. LOL. its mad!!! he actually had so many SPA HOUSES made for her!!! like... siao. and of cos due to bad weather, we could not take a cable car uphill to see the overall area of this "resort". hahah... cabbed back to the city where we had dinner at this really grand chinese restaurant and dad asked me if i wanted abalone for bday!! i told him.. wait la!! i want go eat abalone in beijing! hahaa.. then he said okok! yay! *victory*

after dinner we took a stroll at SHU YUAN MEN just across the street where they sell calligraphy brushes and ink slabs in ALL SHAPES AND SIZES! didnt stay long cos the wind was so chilly and the wet weather made us wanna go back to hotel!

did last min shopping in the morning and gt myself a jeans, and three quarters with a few tops from SEMIR! hahaha..flew back to beijing after coming Xi-an's most important scenic spots. prefer Xi-an so much to beijing cos of the air and HOTEL!!! ahhaha. im mad. anw... when we reach beijing it was about 8pm already and its so hard to find food there at this time so we decided to take a cab down to drink hot thick soup at this place called SHEN JI LIANG TANG! yummilicious!!!! hahaha.. ordered so much cos dad said it was my PRE-BDAY celebration! and of cos, managed to eat abalone!!! but i still like macau's one.. bigger and more succulent!!! whoots!!! im so loving abalone!! LOl~ which reminded me somehow of... owing SOMEONE abalone!! hahaha... yeah jx... i promise... 5yrs time ok!! hahaha.. then the silliest thing occured after dinner! cos the place was kinda ulu and dark and since it was raining super heavily, we had to queue to get a cab! and the queue was soo long so we decided to try taking a bus! then we waited equally long for the bus so we crossed the road to wait for cab. ONCE we cross, the BUS came!!! then we chionged opposite the road!!!! i nearly fainted cos the road is not like sg kind.. is the wide wide kind with minimal street lights. and it was raining so heavily so i was 50% drenched. yuck. had a warm bath when i got back and slept soundly!

21apr (HAPPY 19th BDAY TO ME!)
dad had to work on this day so mum and i went to YA SHOW shopping complex with 6 stories selling far east kinda stuff but the difference is that u could BARGAIN like anything!!! whoot. we combed the area in 4hrs and i bought loads of clothings!!! then at about 12plus we set off to TIAN AN MEN square and FORBIDDEN CITY to have a self conducted day tour there! hahaha!! then as usual, i practically was trying to find spots to camwhore and i found some scenes in the forbidden city really familiar!!!! realised perhaps might be from TOB or JINZHI hahaha... then snapped photos like crazy! then cos that day there was really quite little people, so the palaces were really great to explore and quiet! mum and i managed to walk to the end of the forbidden city and loop out from another quiet backlane which was soooo untouched u might call it! i actually prefer untouched stuff... as compared to restored structures just for tourists but all those beijing people kept saying there was nothing much left untouched in the city. even the city wall was torned down. how sad. unlike xi-an, where the city wall is beautiful! its so ancient and it itself can be a tourist attraction.

then at about 4plus we went back to the hotel to rest first and waited for daddy to have dinner
with us at wangfujing jap restaurant! hahaha then it after dinner, we walked around and dad actually brought me into this kappa store and asked me if i wanted anything as my bday present! i saw this nice jacket tgt with running pants so he paid for it! then we walked past nike store and he asked if i wanted anymore stuff! i was like shocked!!! but i went in anyway and got myself a pair of nike shoes! hahaha! im mad. but really.. the things there are too good to resist! then of cos, mum decided to get me a present as well! so we went to this branded store called magicbox to get myself a long jacket(black) for summer in london! nice nice.. cost a whooping 600bucks which is abt sg 12obucks!?! all in all my bday present was like the most ex for the yr!! totall up to sgd 456bucks!! thanks mum and dad!!!

but in fact, the best part was yet to come!! suddenly after shopping dad suggested that we go to GUO MAO CHINA NEW WORLD HOTEL to celebrate my birhday at 2104(time) cos my bday is 21-04 ma! hahaa then ok i just went along cos i was craving for cakes!! then when i reach, i nearly fainted cos the hotel was freaking big and posh!!! like some place at istana or smthg!!! so dad asked me to sit down, then he made the orders for the cake and was whispering to the manager there!!! when he walked back i asked what did u tell the manager?! then he pretend not to hear and change topic! but in fact!! he planned for my cake to have candles and he also asked the manager if the band playing for the night could sing me a bday song!!! i was SUPERRRRRRRRRR TOUCHED!!! like!!! this was really my bestiest bday ever!!! really thanks daddy!!! so we celebrated! and cos it was so cold, we went bck to hotel after my bday celebration and i went online! hahaha!

Shopping at YUESHOW was slightly boring cos of the limited selection of clothes. dad had to leave for work in the afternoon so before that he brought us to carrefour to get some nice muchines and we had lunch at this really tasty hk restaurant called LU GANG XIAO ZHEN! ordered one kungpao chicken and brocoli stir fry and mum had one chicken soup! so far its the nicest chin restaurant ive tried in beijing! haha then later cabbed to NU REN JIE to walk around. they have this flower market opposite which i didnt go but the flowers diaplayed outside was WOW! the winds were really strong that day so we decided to go bck to hotel to take a short nap first before leaving for dinner at our fav haunt at wangfujing!

breakfast was at Macs! super cheap the MAcs! 3dollars sgd i can get one hotcakes meal plus a sausage and egg muffin! hahaha. then we went to the supermarket to grab stuff to drink and explored the alleys of shop at the basement! waaa.. found really good deals cos its something like a local market where they sell necessities like stationary, handphone accesories etc!! bought what i needa to decorate my cam and phone... and some hairties which cost less than 50cents for one BUNCH!?! haha!! good deals! and bought 2 tops after i succeeded bargaining! so far 2 woman complimented me saying that im good at bargaining!! one still asked if i studied in beijing before because i speak with their accent!?! like really?!?

then we went to visit the beijing HUTONGS! which are shown in the pic below! really cold that day cos it was soo breezy! walked around the HUTONGS area! before that, the taxi passed by lama temple where the king yonghe used to stay before he was appointed king. and confucious temple. we also managed to walk down to the bell and drum tower which was really beautiful with all the algae and green moss growing on the rough greyish black bricks! finally we went back early to do some packing cos my luggage was super full!!!!

last min shopping at SIEW SHUI. they sell huge luggages there at 20sgd bucks. my tian. daddy said he's gg bring a plastic bag there and but a luggage back the next time! LOL. bought a long jacket thick one this time from this really hilarious lady!!! hahaha she remembers my dad and me cos we teased her until she laughed her lungs out! hahaha.. then it was about time to go back to hotel and check out.. in total we came with 3 luggages but we came back with 6. how nice!! luckily dad's krisflyer gold card can actually check in 2 luggages with max 20kg of weight so it saved us the trouble and cost of excess baggage! LOl.

above is actually the view from my hotel room in beijing...overall the trip was not too bad! fun and of cos, i wont forget the surprises along the way!! thanks to daddy and mummy and friends for everything! oh yeah.. i just realised my new exilm cam is super GOOD!! it can take flowers close up and also animals, food etc... shiok ah!!! i bot the right cam!! YAY!

AHEM.. CHEAP THRILLS!

lol~ this is really silly but yeah! i happen to read fung's tvb blog when grace told me there was this funny video of him with ah yi and i chanced upon something really UNCANNY!!! or rather... GREAT MINDS THINK ALIKE??! hahaha!!! okok.. its just coincidental! and for goodness sake, this is really so so qiao!!! let the pictures do the talking~

ahem.. not talking about jx whose WHOLE face appeared... wahahha!!! paiseh.. great minds = me and fung lor!!! look at the extent we cover our face?! cover from bottom all the way to jus nice not showing the nose! LOl~ wakakak nvm la.. u have your linda.. i want fung. thanks.

yeah! and i need to proclaim my love for someone!!! hahaha cant stand already!!! mr zheng rocks! hahaha!!!! (jess and jx... and maybe cris should know who) sorry la.. but i think he's so much talented as compared to fung.. haha!!! no doubt fung's voice is better! but mr zheng can compose beautiful lyrics, sing great songs and compose music! talented eh? my darlings are talented i realised! LOl~ ok.. i promise i will buy at least 2 CDs when he releases his cd in april!

and of cos, i havent forgotten my nancy dear! ahhaha wu ting yan is FOREVER LOVE too! poor her cos i read her blog and she dance until so xin ku... ouch.. support her and myo all the way!

ok enough said... i need to chiong ftt... seriously.. nothing is going into my head. so difficult how to pass?!?! but on a happier note.. its 14days to my 19th birthday on 21april!!! and that time i'll be happy holidaying in beijing! wheets. any stars going beijing??! =X
