EGYPT TRIP!

after about 10hours of long flight to cairo my eyes was practically swollen cos of my movie marathon-ing! worst still.. had gastric cos didnt eat the food on board. hate the food on board like anybody's business! so when i reached cairo airport, i was in pain cos of gastric! luckily ate medicine so felt better after that. then after 1hr plus of bus ride, finally reach intercontinental hotel resort in cairo! LOL.. and best thing was.. we reached at 1am plus and yet there were still many cars on the road! i really wonder if these egyptian peeps do sleep. geez. so.. bathed and went to zzz after that cos the next day would be a long day!

breakfast was sucky cos international buffet at the resort was like.. DOTS. cannot really describe it cos it really made me wanna puke. simply ate toast cos i suppose it wouldnt taste THAT bad. after breakfast we set off to see the great pyramids!! wow.. super cool cos its really huge and i really wonder how did the egytians build that structure man. no doubt that it was an eye opener but actually i thought the atmosphere was just not there.. maybe we should visit it at night to get that sorta mysteriously eerie kind of feeling. im sure those who went know what feeling im looking for! LOL. took a stone from near the pyramids to give it to WILSON my dear angel cos i didnt manage to get the sand!! SORRYYY!!

after the pyramids, we went for this camel ride!! waaaa so scary at first cos the camel tilted its body so much that i felt like i was going to fall or smthg. gosh!!! but nice experience altho the camel seriously stinks like mad. yuck. thereafter it got really hot and sunny until i really felt like i was in a singaporized desert when we went to visit the sphinx! hahaha had some fun time shooting funky shots of me kissing the sphinx! and the photo was taken by my dad! he takes years to snap one shot... so u can imagine. i had to pose like a sickening idiot for ages.

wa this day i will always rmb! cos we had the earliest morning call ever at 2am(egyptian time) and i was really struggling to get up and i kept yawning in the bus to the airport! we were supposed to take a domestic flight to luxor for our 4 nights cruise on river nile!!! so when we reach, checked in and ate lunch on the boat!! the boat rocks!! the food rocks too!! haha and the rest of the afternoon was spent playing cards with the mates(rachel, alyssa, jonathan, joel, bryan, calvin) in my tour grp.. at night, i went for sound and light at karnak temple!!! that's an optional tour but im so glad i went man!!! cos instead of sitting down to watch some drama thing as expected.. we had to walk! and as we walked there would be voices from around the large towering structures telling us the stories behind the temple and stuff! all lights were switched off and only parts of the structures were lit up! so practically, it was like.. quite eerie but not scary cos there were loads of pple! and then best thing was.. we get to stand under the moonlit sky with all the stars, beside the large towering structures as we listen to the story...so it kinda gives u that cool cool egyptian feeling(maybe jonathan can describe it better? lol cos he knows wad feeling i was referring to)

actually im not sure about what happened today cos apparently my advisor aka bryan chiew decided to show me an itinary instead and the i dont think we went for the stuff that was written on the itinary by that sequence so i shall just use my own sequence! LOL overall we went to see the 2 huge structures first and i rmb the guide talking about some myth about some eerie crying.. lol. gosh my memory is fadin so i shall just say in brief and let the pictures tell u the rest of the story!

then we went to my most anticiapted place valley of the kings.. but sadly it wasnt that nice as i expected it to be! visited 3 pyramids climbed here and walked there! the hielogyphics(egytian ancient writing) is sooo cool!!! and the tombs or rather interior of the pyramids are filled with those nice scribblings! who has the patience to ever do that man! after that we went to queen hatshepsup (read it as hot-chick-soup) temple and i did the funniest thing in my life.. cos there was this face of here at the second level and entry was forbidden.. but there was this egyptian man there and he asked those ang moh's for money when they went in and of cos the ang moh paid him. but me? i did a damn cheapo act! i sneaked in from the side where there was no barricade and quickly snap and shot and sneaked out!!! oh gosh. kinda thrilling cos he didnt catch me doing so! lol. no entertainment so gotta find cheap thrills like these man.

luxor temple and karnak temple day! my fav temple is karnak temple cos of the light and sound show! aiyo my memory really failing me! so spamming fotos would be better

horse carriage day! sat on this horse carriage to my favorite god's temple! temple of horus!! yay! hahah managed to bargain for one egytian er hu successfully!! from 10 dollars asking to 10 punds!!! wakakaka. i still think the shopping rocks in egypt!! then visited kom ombo at night!! pretty cold but night scenes are always nice!

and this catousche below is actually the egyptian ancient writing of name cleopatra on the wall of the kom ombo temple! cool sia! i made one of that catousche thing also later on with my name in egytian writing! COOL right??? haha.

boring boring boring! cos first thing in the morning i had to STONE! haha yeah. lame. we went to see STONES. or rather rocks of granite. LOL. some unfinished obelisk(supposedly to signify the male organ) tsk tsk. the guide said it in a cheeky way hahaha! went to see some high dam after that then those people who supposed to go for the abu simbel trip went to the airport! then only joel, rachel and my family went for the felucca ride! cool cool!! i love that ride cos we went round the islands in this boat with a large sail(pic below)! and we sang and danced on the boat also!!! gosh. hahaha best thing was.. the ride was supposed to be half an hour but cos my papa wanted to bargain for a lower price for the stuff i wanted to get on the boat, and the man refused to price lower, so our ride became 1 hour until we paid up for the lower price and gave him a pen in exchange! tehy love pens as gifts man. like... if u ask for lower price, they would ask for a present(pen) in return! hahah so cute! i should open this stationary store there.. got dozens of unused pens at hOme. blee.

shopping was there after!! found this super nice and cheap place to shop!! its like one straight alley with two rows of shops selling gifts like tshirts, magnets, statues, blah blah!! i shopped till i dropped man!! cos really there was too many things to buy and at a very very low price!!! bought few tshirts, a cap, heels, small statues of my fav god horus and one with king tut! hahaha and loads more for my frens!!! lol shopping was fun here cos the streets was not really packed.. and we had more than 4hours to shop!! so we could shop leisurely.. hahaha fun!!! didnt expect egypt to have the same kind of shopping experience as hk!!! not bad!

nothing much happened today cos we flew back to cairo then went to this perfume shop! hahah they had chanel number 5 perfume k!! and of cos. rachel was quick to realise my name was shanelle and it sounded like chanel so she gave me that grin! and alyssa too. gosh. i was like. yeah i know know so i gave them that grin back! lol. and ever since that day. joel has been calling me shanelle number5. so ok! im calling him joel number6. cheap thrill? oh fine! jess.. i think u shud have given me a nicer name man!!! quick i want a change of name!! hahah.. bought a super nice perfume and chose this exquisite looking bottle.. 200pounds for one bottle.. quite cheap!! wanted to buy more but my dad was like saying... later chemical rxn occurs and blah. gosh. he can really crap! hahha.. and yeah.. the rest of the day was stoning? nothing much to do at the cairo hotel cos we were like in some desert!

merry xmas!! went to alexandria. nice place!!! small port by the sea.. dont rmb much but i just know the supermarket on the way back sells super cheap stuff! bought 50pounds worth of chocolate, food and more food!! plus the strawberries they sold come in... large packs and it only cos.. 3 pounds.. which is less than 1 dollar? hah! but yup back to alexandria.. went to this funny castle bought a plate for decor there at 8pounds soooo cheap man..after that to some pompei pillar some mosque and colossi! ohhh and nt to forget the president's house with some garden? lol. i love the garden place most!! cos its really scenic and relaxed.. my dream house is there man!!!

last day in cairo before flying back to sg! went to the mohammud ali citadel and have the view of the city as a whole from above! went inside the mosque thing and it looks brilliant!

there after went to the cairo museum to look at artefacts from the pyramids and stuff.. we were given 2hours la but it was sooo boring so after 1 hour we came out. then sat outside to wait for the rest. ahhah. talked to jonathan about his school and the countries we went to! haha at least it was so much better than staring at artefacts! ahhaha! then it was shopping time!!!! we were supposed to go to some place with more than 4000shops! so kinda excited.. but seriously when i got there.. it was too squeezy to enjoy the shopping experience altho my family bought alot!!! ahhaha supposed to eat our dinner there so we waked around to try some local food and i would say the egytian roast chicken was super delicious!!! hahaha!!! after that went to the airport for our flight at 1230am!

UP UP AND AWAY TO EGYPT(18dec to 27dec)

yup! i'll be flying off today at 630pm and will be taking SIA! its a 10hours plus flight and somehow im feeling sian about the longgg flight even though there is in flight entertainment! later watch movie until eye pop out!!! worse still.. no good movies.. then i really dunno what to do! i cant sleep cos i'll reach egypt at 11pm(egypt time) which is sg (5am) LOL!!! then i reach le go hotel.. zzz time again!! so i only can play games and watch tv on board! hahah. yesterday was feeling totally sian about this trip altho i very much LOVE to visit exotic egypt! but... the flight.. too long!! hahaha.. anyway, im almost done with packing and in a while im gg to the airport!! hee. dunno whether to feel happy or sad! my flight time.. SAME AS XUAN XUAN!!!! she's leaving for hk today at 630pm too!!! means... if im not taking SIA, i can check in with her!!! LOL. but too bad! she's taking cathay means t1, me.. SIA.. so t2!!! URGH!!! wasted sia!!! but nvm!! jessica dear is helping me!! i hope she can chionggg ah! LOL. but its good to know that xuan is also flying off at the same time! lol. happy altho i cant send her off cos by time i settle my tour stuff... she might be inside alr! hahaha oh well.. just good to know she's in some airplane near to mine? LOL hahahah mad woman me!

anw, these few days been out with jess and jx! didnt have time to update cos been chionging WWL!!! and im GLAD to announce that i finish this 5-stars drama!!! its very VERY SUPERBLY FANTASTIC! the ending wasnt draggy! and it was abstract also!!! i hate those shows with so explicit "happy ending" but this altho happy ending was not at all explicit!!! so i love it! and the plot on the whole was dry at first but EXHILIRATING at the middle part!! GOOD GOOD! i highly recommend this to anyone bored out there! hahaha!! but warning hor.. last part.. very SAD. cos.. so touching.. that's why i love this drama also!! other than comedy and romance, they also touch on brother-ship(haha my word?) and frenship! those.. family ties and... how impt isit to cherish ur loved ones, frens, and even time!!! oh gosh this show made me learn alot.. made me reflect alot about myself.. my life! so its light hearted at the right time yet able to subtly convey to the viewers the core message - CHERISH! haha i love it!!

hmm yesterday i really had soo much fun thanks to my darling JX! she really made my day! met her at 1pm aljunied mrt cos we supposed to go audiohouse kope some cheap buys but in the end.. bot nothing cos of the "terms and conditions" that comes with the offer? LOl. walked from mrt to the place and nearly got lost la!!! luckily we turned back and decided to walk in the opposite direction! then after the futile shopping spree we headed to marina sq to eat! ate at some western restaurant beside swensens. ok only the food. quite bland. but the waffle and ice cream was sooo good!!! JX lets go eat the waffle someday again!!.. after makan.. went to shop for clothes! jx wanted buy tank top and belt and i wanted buy top or heels! lol.. walked around but found nothing to our liking! decided to go bookfest to see if got TW MAG! hahah jx and her obsession for iswak2.. wanted 'play' magazine cos inside got joe poster? LOL. i already got why why love poster liao.. plus fei lun hai one.. so contented le! after trip im so gonna catch up with iswak2 !!! AJ ROCKS!

yup then we went to read the xin li ce yan(some book that test ur personality, love life..) ahaha and soo funny the book was soooo accurate EXCEPT for the test on whether i can keep secrets! HEY NOT TRUE!!!! jx.. don believe them man! im a good secret keeper! LOl. hahah waa stayed there for quite long... headed for the stationary section and we found sooo nice notebooks!!! i bought 2 at 4.90 each! soo value for money! haha think after i watch WWL im starting to be like rainie in the show(her motto is.. wasting money is a sin) hahhaa and im becoming like some auntie now comparing prices even in supermarkets!! faints.. then went suntec S&K to get Jx clothes and went for dinner at BK. lol saving money ma. so no ex food! hahaha. then walk until my feet got blisters.. cos.. this pair of heels is really super old.. i wanna get new heels!!!

okayy!! i miss this person above MOST! not below k. is above!!! cos.. last night.. after my outing while watchin WWL last epi i was kinda.. emo. had some probs and feeling rather helpless.. luckily.. my dear fren above chatted with me.. although not about alot but.. it really helped me sort out my thoughts.. and.. yes! it made me happier! so.. i wanna thank her really! she's always beside me when i need a listening ear! and.. i feel rather guilty also cos sometimes i know she's very frustrated but i cant seem to cheer her up! so here.. im gg to promise her one thing..
no matter what, no matter how long is your forever, i will stand by u! be it school work or.. other problems.. u know u can confide in me, rmb the test? taurus can make capricorn happy! haha i will promise to cheer u up when u're down, lend u a helping hand when u need me, give u my ears when u wanna talk and support you mentally when u are exhausted from work! just want to tell u... THANKS for everything you've done for me! talking about cherishing(for wwl) i think.. u are one special person i do THANK GOD SO MUCH for making u my fren...U ARE REALLY V IMPT in my life because without u.. i think.. i would be less happy, less carefree. yup! i look forward to 31st!! and 6jan(our k box date)! LOVE and MISS U ALOT!

THIS SIS of mine is SMALL and TINY but she has a BIG HEART! she never gets angry with me and she accomodates me in every way! of cos, she is another person VERY IMPT TO ME.. and i CHERISH this sister-ship alot! no doubt i'll be holidaying in egypt but i promise to msg u to let u know where am i and what im doing! maybe the time difference can make our msg lag but that doesnt mean it will stop our SMS-es right?? LOVE U SOOO MUCH and we shall meet up on 31st k! lets wait for that day to enjoy and be HIGH!

yup! other than the 2 MOST IMPT PERSONS in my life, i also gotta thank other frens for wishing me bon voyage and stuff via sms or here on my taggie! i've gotta go now so wait for my updates about the trip when im back yeah?? CHEERIOS!

WHAT?!? IMPOSSIBLE...

im in a state of shock, and.. im permanently getting that chill down my spine for one and only reason. London Sch of Econs(LSE) and University College London(UCL) top few uni of UK.. accepted me if and only if i can obtain 3 A's and above for A levels.. MAD. and now.. i gtta think of a way to tell my parents cos.. i decided that.. i dont wanna go overseas to study already... reasons?... too many.. only my close frens would know so i really don bother explaining. haix. but now.. the sch is gg to send letters to my hse informing me abt the conditional offer and.. i dunno how can i hijack the letters.. yikes! im in some.. deep trouble.. i dont wanna bluff them but if my parents esp my dad knows i gt even a CONDITIONAL offer.. he'll be screaming! like. hello.. im gg uni.. not u!!! LOl~ but anyway,.. i jus gtta convince him that.. its too stressful in UK. like.. what bullshit.. but this reason is the most valid as of now... hahahha ok im soooo frustrated by this thing. URGH. tired too.. just finish watch why why love ep15! SHIOK!!! left... a few more!! cannot wait to finish the series yet.. very reluctant.. cos after wwl no more TRIO le! aiyooo. mad me. nvm. i shall zzz first! tata!

XUAN GATHERING @ SUNTEC!

Wakakak I have been smiling all the way back from the restaurant to home! Why? Cos today is the happiest day of the week!! Hahaha lame. Alright first I met up with jess at 330pm instead of 430pm cos she said scared later we take neoprints take too long then cant go there CHOP place.. so.. in the end we decided that 330pm was the best time! Lol but I was late cos I forgot to bring the camera out of the house la!!! Silly me! So I was alr walking down to the mrt! Then gotta walk up again! Then finally met jess at about 355pm like that then we went cine took neoprints!! LOL

The funniest thing was!!! Jess wore green and turned out to be the invisible woman!!! Lol. I was laffing my face off when she said ALAMAK! Lol.. then we still took la! And it turned out pretty nice!! Although once again.. not enuff time to decorate! Hahah but I must say something!!! There’s one we took with half pic angel half pic devil and of cos.. jess is the devil!!! So.. I wrote and decorated the neoprint to be…“DEVIL BESIDE U” wakakak my obsession for tw drama. And better still.. helped jess take a pic and she posed as if.. her bag is full of GOLD la!!! Faints.. nice not my cam skills? JESS, u shud praise me man!

Thereafter around 4plus we rushed to suntec to have our PRE-DINNER! Ahhaha at pastamania, ate our usual and our twin dinners!! jess la.. she see my fusilli very nice go and poke one to try using a fork.. then she said.. "mm.. nicee" then started pokin another! waa in defence i used the CHEESE TECHNIQUE! quickly grabbed the cheese and sprinkled all over like raining like that until even jess didnt dare to use her fork!!! hahaha finally since she hates cheese so much.. she decided to stop attacking my ppor fusilli castle.. and im glad..i saved my castle. *clap*! Hahaha don’t scream at me for wasting moneyyy cos there’ll be dinner later at xuan’s gathering but we were afraid that the food wouldn’t be nice so.. hahha KIA-SU-ism sets in! right.. then waited for xuan to arrive! Not bad leh. She wasn’t as late as I thought she would be! Then of cos.. being so excited started snapping pics! And me and jess ate more!! Jess la.. scooped sooo much spag for me until my plate was like… some xmas decoration!!!! Zzz.. Wakakak but the best thing was.. we were the FIRST TABLE she would “visit” and we had like.. SOOO much time with her cos she was bz browsing thro the tvb calendar and the organizers didn’t want to disturb her! Lol! Then she signed 5 of my fotos, took one individual pic and chatted sooo much! She was FIRST to let us know that lao po da ren gg to have part2 ok!!! With sunny still!!! YAY!

Best thing was.. jx recording videos of xuan.. then suddenly.. got one BUTT appear. Oh man. She laffed like some mad dog and in fact I didn’t know wad’s happening but when I saw her cam the butt appearing I laffed soooo loudly too and then suddenly everyone frm our table knew the joke and we like.. burst out into laffter!!!

We had so much fun at the gathering cos we kept teasing JX and THE HK GANG OF 3 is back!!! Lol! For once we went for the function tgt!!! I still rmb that time.. if not for xuan I wouldn’t even have met jx.. my long lost pri sch classmate!! And im really grateful that xuan kinda gave me a chance to find this SUPERB FREN!!! And BESTIEST MOTHER!! JX!!! Must work hard and I shall look forward to countdown day with u and Jess!! YEAH! TRIO-ism forever! And of cos… 14dec meeting jess 17dec is GANG meeting!! Hahhah hurray!

DOTS... flood me for what!

aiyo i dunno whether to feel happy or sad. the scholarship people frm SAF, A star and everywhere are flooding my mailbox with letters inviting me to go for scholarship fairs, seminars and blah! call my house ask for my email and even my virtual letterbox is not spared! LOL. please lor. im not that pro. and the best thing is... they said...

A*STAR has created a fast track process for nominated candidates such as yourself. As you have been identified by your school, it is not necessary for you to wait till the release of the "A" level results to send in your application for our scholarship. You can apply immediately based on your preliminary results. If you are successful with the selection process that will be held over the next 2-3 months, you will be given a conditional offer of the scholarship The final confirmation of the award is based on you meeting our requirement with your actual "A" level results. We will be providing you with the details on how you may submit your application on-line on 11 December 2007.

DOTS... my prelim results.. SUCK!!!! how to apply. i wanna apply also gt no confidence to apply. worse still.. want me to go for psychometric test!!! like. URGH!!! yeah i thank the school so much for BELIEVING IN MY POTENTIAL.... but u know.. psychometric tests are scary. and im having some phobia for interviews after the oxford one.. faints.. its just.. GROSS and.. i don ever wanna relieve that again! hahah unless EDB send me something.. maybe that's the only scholarship i'll consider.. ok i still think.. this is.. really... DOTS.. first, im not smart. second, sg has so many foreign talents, it wont even be my turn even if i apply right? or.. maybe.. i should try? LOL. haiyoo. more mails means more headache!!! URGH.

anyway, im bored. so that's why im bloggin abt such.. stuff. hahaha. later gg out!! YAY!!

GONE... WHERE HAS ALL THAT SPARK GONE TO?

believe me. for some reason, ive lost interest in hk. not totally but mostly. been asking myself why is this happening? silly right? just few days back, my friend told me she was going hk to see so-and-so and my reaction was. orh. enjoy bah. i never even ask her help me buy photos or get his signature or wad. i just replied ok. and best thing is.. until now, i never regretted saying orh. wad's more is that, when i went to read jess/hsieh hui's blog abt them seeing ah yi, kevin and myo, i totally did not have any feeling lehs. not even HIGH! that time myo came sg, i was FREE to chase her and my fren wanted to accompany me, but i just didnt want to go. everything about hk in my mind just came to FULLSTOP. and this is weird. i dunno if its just a passing numbness or permanent dilution of interest. does it mean that my interest is dwindling and diminishing? or am i just being fickle cos ive seen them* too many times?

oh gosh. i dunno. why in the world is this happening. or maybe like wad jx said.. my boat sinking alr.. haha now.. i think im more high abt TW LEH! altho im just high abt the trio(RMK) plus some other singers my "love" for tw also not that STRONG as compared to my past passionate interest for hk. like.. so different feeling. isit because im able to control my feelings better? like.. i know what i shud do, what i shud not. no doubt i didnt say chasing star was a waste of time, but... certain priorities in life change, last time, i always put CHASING STAR AS NUMBER 1 but family and frens as secondary. now. TOTALLY NOT! family/frens comes first.. actors/actresses may remember you for being their loyal fan, but in times of crisis/ when u need a listening ear, will they be there for you?

sometimes i think im really foolish... many people may not agree with me cos to them family is like a messy pile of dirt, frens are just for filling up the emptiness in your social life, superficially "getting high tgt", how many have really asked themselves, IS MY LIFE FULFILLING? what im doing may make me happy now, make me satisfied now, but in the future, can this HOBBY/interest sustain my life? will i look back 10years later and see a pile of actors fotos collecting dust on the table/shelve and SIGH? sigh because i would ask myself.. why did i waste so much of my youth doing such? yes being happy for that moment when the actor took foto with u, played games on stage with you, blah.. but.. HELLO.. think harder... is this really called.. HAPPINESS? now i think this is such a superfiicial meaning of happiness, unsustainable.

GOSH. i think MANY of my frens would SLAP me for writing this entry cos many of them are fervent star chasers.. SO i better make this clear, this entry is in no way trying to "scold" any of you cos everyone has his/her own stand. i respect that and i hope all frens(star chasers) respect my stand here! in fact.. i have much more to say but hahah better not turn my frens into enemies.. yup, for me.. not that i wont chase anymore.. but.. im gg to tOne down and see what's the difference in star chasing life and non-star chasing life!

SLAPS. maybe my mood will change tmr though! so.. perhaps.. i will be that energetic enthu star chaser again! hahha pardon me for now!
